当天晚上早早睡觉。这么久了，终于可以放松下来，无忧无虑地睡觉。

第二天（大年三十）下午，去买了三瓶红酒和一只烧鸡，就去了俊乐家。吃饭聊天看春晚，喝茶喝酒吃零食……三个人喝了两瓶红酒，最后我一个人又喝了一瓶，其中有三四次因为拿不稳杯子而把酒洒在裤腿上。好久没有醉成一团泥的经历了。

今年春晚依然地乏善可陈，不过小虎队唱歌的时候我还是激动了一把。刘谦的魔术也很精彩。至于那些粉饰太平矫情造作的节目，我也就一笑而过。如今除了脑残，谁还正儿八经地批评春晚呢。

在俊乐家睡了一觉。沉睡消了残酒，大年初一（昨天）早上神采奕奕地起床，与俊乐夫妇共进早餐。白粥，咸菜蛋，菜餔，茶叶蛋，泡椒笋，久违了的家居风味。

下午不到五点便倒头大睡，一口气睡了十四个钟头，到今天早上七点才起床。这样放肆地睡觉，于我真是奢侈的事情。过年嘛，就该奢侈放肆一回。

今年的春节过得很平静，没有什么特别开心的，也没有什么忧愁烦恼。安安静静的，多好。

本想去圣淘沙的花会拍照，但是上网找找，发现今年没有。那我就继续宅在家里吧。

新学年第一个全校活动居然就是我负责。第一次组织活动就是这么大型的，以我这么粗浅的经验，实在有些力不从心。千头万绪，怎一个乱字了得。

部门里的事情也是怎么乱怎么来。如果说全校活动只是辛苦几周而已，部门管理和协调那可是持久战。说实话我只对自己的语言知识以及对孩子的关爱有自信，而最没天分的就是领导一个团队了。

若问教师的中心任务是什么，毫无疑问是教书。可是我现在有时间钻研教学法吗？我有机会研究课堂管理吗？我连批改作业的时间都成问题啊。

毫无疑问，作为一名教师我是很失败的，作为一名领导我也是很失败的。我只希望我作为一个同事、一个朋友不那么失败。

离题了。其实我是上来发泄的，没想到写成反思了。

《新京报》将《民主的细节》评为年度图书（在此我要感谢我的父母、我的朋友、我的电脑、我小时候养的猫、尚未毒死我的牙膏、尚未袭击我的猪流感……），以下是被要求写的“获奖感言”。

　　我身边有很多看透了世界的人。有一次一个朋友跟我说：我女儿长大了，决不能从政，政治太肮脏了，哪里都一样。虽然当时我们坐在闹哄哄的车里，非常不适宜谈论政治，我的严肃病还是犯了，我反驳道：政治到处可能都是肮脏的，但是一些地方比另一些地方更肮脏一些。

　　后来我在别的地方看到一个更好的表述方式，那句话说的是：不要让“最好”成为“更好”的敌人。就是说，这个世界上也许没有完美的人性、完美的制度，完美的政治，但是完美的不存在，不应该是我们放弃追求“稍微美好一些”社会的理由。

　　《民主的细节》是一本很家常的书，试图从具体的政治事件、甚至柴米油盐的角度来观察分析美国的当代政治——确切地说，分析政治本身——再确切一点说，分析什么样的公共生活更接近合理与正义。我在书的后记里写道，这本书其实在做一个很“笨”的工作：讲故事、讲常识、讲人物。这件事情如此之“笨”，以至于有读者可能对一个剑桥大学的老师没有戴上术语的墨镜、穿上晦涩理论的马靴出来讲话而失望，但我之所以愿意做这个很“笨”的工作，是因为我不介意“天真”——我还没有看透一切，并拒绝看透一切，事实上，谁想让我“看透一切”我就跟谁急。

　　对这个世界有一天会成为人间天堂我不抱希望，但是我想，一个居民房子被推土机强拆的世界，和一个开发商必须跟某人谈判拆迁价的世界，还是略有不同的；一个婴儿喝奶粉不小心会得重病的世界，和一个食物标签上必须写明所有成分和卡路里的世界，也是略有不同的；一个高考分数线向本来就占有教育资源优势的大城市倾斜的世界，和一个照顾弱势群体上大学机会的世界，同样是不同的……那种无视所有这些不同而一屁股坐到“看透一切”的高度上挥斥方遒的态度，有些人称之为“智慧”，我称之为“傲慢”。

　　世界如此之博大精深，我们短短一生真的能看透吗？再说看透了接下来干嘛呢？坐在云端捋着智慧的胡须等死？

　　深入这个世界的细节，观察它的微妙，捕捉它的变化，在非黑即白之外看到所有那些丰富的过渡色彩，需要谦卑、耐心和好奇心。 有这么多人热衷于看透的“智慧”，不过是因为看透是逃避社会责任感的最好理由。你说我都看透了，自然也不用操任何心了。

　　而对“肮脏”的政治家来说，民众的政治虚无主义则是他们最强大的堡垒：如果我无意于将自己清洗得更干净，至少我希望你相信干净是不可能的。

　　以前曾有朋友跟我讨论，为什么很多出了国的人政治上也会很保守，他们难道不是见多识广了吗？我说，以前有个心理学家做过实验，一个人如果买了某个牌子的车，以后他就会更留心这个牌子车的广告，而对其它牌子的广告往往充耳不闻。这说明什么呢？说明当一个人的头脑开始封闭时，他明明身处一个信息开放的世界里，但是他吸收知识的方式却是选择性的和片面的。在我的留学生涯中，身边有太多的中国人，身在美国，但是看不到美国，身在一个全新的制度中，但是看不到它的新意。大约因为在他们出国之前，头脑里已经安装了“某个牌子的车”了，出了国以后，也只留心这个牌子车的广告，而对其它牌子视而不见。我想说的是，我们当中，有太多年纪轻轻就已对世界全然失去好奇心的人，他们的头脑里充满了感叹号，但是没有了问号。

　　那么我希望《民主的细节》所达到的效果，就是在更多人的脑子里种上更多的问号。希望有一些人，越多越好的人，看完了这本书，从先前“看透的智慧”中倒退下来，退回天真，退回好奇，退回困惑。这本书并不指望也不可能告诉读者什么是对什么是错，如果一个读者在读了此书之后感到糊涂和困惑，那么他应该恭喜自己恢复了困惑的能力，因为他又回到了一个丰富的世界，在琳琅满目的“汽车”之间，又有了选择的可能性。

晚上八点多，学校小门紧闭，我只能从大门出去，再走一小段路，才能过斑马线。天很黑，路灯都亮着。学校对面的咖啡店灯火通明，两台电视机传出嘈杂的声音。

恍惚间日夜颠倒，晨昏不分。

说起来如果非洲儿童也抱怨生活，心灵导师们是不是会告诉他们要想想恐龙的遭遇，不要身在福中不知福？

的确人应该学会知足，但那是“足”然后能“知”。否则只是“自以为足”，阿Q即属此类。知足常乐是积极健康的心态，精神胜利那就是病态。

别跟我提什么身在福中不知福了。有些人就是站着说话不腰疼，欢迎心灵导师们来跟我对换生活，以便享受我的幸福。

我只是在猜想

2010年—— 中国开展互联网整治活动，活动口号为“三天不打，上房揭瓦”。

2010年—— 相关部门扩大屏蔽词词库，汉字“档”和英文字母“D”在大陆消失。当当网和豆瓣网被迫改名为肮肮网和藕瓣网。

2010年6月——政府启动“保护儿童“项目，儿童节被提到和国庆节相同的位置，并且宣布，严格限制一切不利于少年儿童健康成长的资讯。同时，上海世博会提出“世博会，世博会，捉奸在床一万对”的口号，线上线下同时启动扫黄项目，政府明确表示，一切和黄色有关的东西，都将被屏蔽，黄色代表色情和封建。小学生们都被发动了起来，纷纷走上街头，表示不放过一切黄色的东西。

2010年7月——小学生爱国委员会发现，因为五星红旗上的5个五角星为黄色，不符合时代的进步思想。该提议经过研究，相关部门决定将五个五角星改为红色。

2010年8月——政府发现，将五角星改为红色以后，和国旗原背景色一样，导致分辨困难，经过小学生代表的提议，国旗上五角星被改为绿色，代表着绿领巾和绿霸。

2010年—— 根据小学生爱护委员会和小学生代表的提议，政府收紧图片审查标准，并提出“激凸等于露点”的战略指导思想。

2010年—— 所有论坛的版主被收编为公务员。

2010年—— 政府推出全新网络长城，该长城系统汇聚了无数中国各行各业专家的智慧，他们在一个军事基地中集中工作，他们工作的卫星照片一度被海内外误读为中国在制造航母。

2011年1月 政府新一轮经济刺激计划中拨款1000亿用于网络评论员，网络评论员的薪水由每条五毛涨为每条一元，2011年的目标是有1000亿条正面评论，坚守在评论征地的五毛党们黯然落泪，苦撑多年，被骂无数，终于等来了大部队。从此，在各大互联网评论中，网评员和正常人类的比例达到5比5。

2011年—— GOOGLE，YOUTUBE，FACEBOOK，TWITTER等网站宣布重返中国并开放注册。

同时，所有上述网站在美国宣布并未在中国开展任何业务。

马上，这条消息被全新长城系统屏蔽，在国内无人知晓。

2011年—— 在上述网站注册的用户被长城系统追踪，他们的电脑被锁定，综合类网站只能打开人民网，新华网，论坛类网站只能打开强国论坛和铁血论坛，视频类网站只能打开央视一套。经过系统重装，都不能破解锁定。

2011年—— 电脑涨价一倍，出现卖电脑的黄牛。但用户买回新电脑以后发现还是只能打开上述规定网站。

2011年—— 房地产涨价一倍，在房地产交易网上，房源必须标明是上网房和限网房。

2011年—— 南方都市报，南方周末被改名为男方都市报和男方周末，被重新转型为婚姻介绍类报纸。同时，网评员和正常人类的比例达到9比1。

2011年—— 某市领导被人肉搜索。

2011年—— 互联网第二轮整治，所有搜索网站被关闭，各大门户网站和报纸发表“搜索，让我们变成懒人”“网络搜索严重影响小学生的动脑动手能力”等文章，领导们表示，我们从来不用网络搜索，也到了今天的地位，说明网络搜索百害而无一利。

2011年—— 百度被百事收购，成为饮料官方网站。

2012年—— 新浪网曝光某村领导收受贿赂500元，该新闻被评为2012中国年度新闻，该新闻点击量达到5000亿，很多人反复点击，经过删除后留言量高达一百万条，很多人认为，这是舆论监督重新开始的一个新起点。但是网络投票中，九成网友认为该新闻不应该发表，因为破坏了社会的稳定，甚至可能导致民族的分裂。

2012年—— 新浪网被小学生举报搜索到有人激凸。新浪网被停业整治。

2013年—— 所有论坛停止注册和发帖功能，中国作家协会和中国文联接受互联网，成为互联网内容提供商。互联网从WEB 3.0退回到WEB 0.3，网络模式改为只能浏览资讯，不能发帖。

2013年—— 小学生健康成长委员会举报新浪网又出现激凸。

2014年—— 新浪被激浪收购，成为饮料官方网站。

2014年—— 小学生健康成长委员会举报，有人在QQ上向他们发送露点照片，导致该学生看到以后上街强奸了数十人。

2014年—— QQ，MSN等聊天工具被禁止，个人博克和微博被禁止，但是屡屡有不法分子通过各种技术手段上传一些私人的想法和信息。政府非常头疼。

2015年—— 政府部门将网络全部切断，并统一推出上网专用电脑，只有用该电脑才能上网，没有键盘的接口，只给你一个鼠标。改专项整治活动的口号为“只给你丫一鼠标，看你还能怎么着”。

2016年—— 中国网民下降到100万，所有网站合并为一个网站，输入任何网址都将链接入该网站。该网址更新内容以当天人民日报为准。同年，中国的互联网产业消失，直接导致近500万互联网相关产业从业人员失业，除了因电子邮件被取消后重新兴起的邮政行业接纳了十万人以外，490万人面临再就业困难。同时，近100万五毛党失业。五毛党感叹道，做牛做马做狗了半辈子，连退休金都没有。

2016年—— 人民日报发文：牺牲了一个产业，换来了国家的稳定，值。

2016年—— 新闻联播评论，互联网产业发展下去，国家将面临分裂的危险，国外反华势力和国内分裂势力借助着互联网煽动群众，幸亏有关部门采取强硬手段，避免了事态的扩大。

2016年—— 周久耕平反。周出狱后任命信息产业部部长。余秋雨被任命为文化部部长。

2016年—— 100万失业的五毛党因为根本没有其他技能，一直找不到工作，没有生活保障，数万五毛党开始向北京聚集，该年儿童节，十万五毛党在政府门前静坐绝食，要求政府安排工作或者买断工龄，并追加公务员称号。人民日报发文表示，政府从来没有过网络评论员这个职业，所有的网络评论均为五毛党自发评论。五毛党们拿不出任何劳动合同来证明其和政府之间的劳动关系。

五毛党的发言人表示，他们当年是地下工作者，为国家的稳定立下了汗马功劳。

政府表示，限五毛党三日内离京，否则将予以逮捕。人民日报发文表示，赞美政府就不应该向政府施加压力。赞美政府不能作为换取钱财的条件。赞美都应该是无偿的。

2016年——五毛党继续绝食，市民们表示，支持五毛党绝食，绝不向五毛党提供食物，并且监督五毛党绝食，切断一切五毛党可以获得食物的途径。

第二天，文化部部长余秋雨在绝食现场发表“含泪劝五毛书”。五毛党们纷纷表示，讲的太深奥，听不懂啥意思。

2016年——五毛党的罪名包括非法集党，非法游行，非法示威，攻击政府，暴力抗法，诽谤政府，危害公共安全，扰乱社会秩序，随地吐痰等。组织者被逮捕，但政府表示，宽容对待不明真相的盲从者，给他们一个改过自新的机会，给绝食者每人发五毛用于充饥。新闻联播评论这一场景：五毛见五毛，两眼泪汪汪。

2016年——五毛危机平安解决，再现党和政府稳定局面的能力。为首的五毛党面对央视记者的采访，说了三个字，悔当初。

2017年——失业人数剧增，互联网产业的崩溃导致经济严重衰退，政府表示，制造业将再一次作为国家支柱产业，中国应当利用一切自然的资源，以低价的优势向海外出口。

2017年——海外反华势力勾结起来，狼狈为奸，蛊惑联合国以及各国，通过了关于各国家禁止从中国进口任何商品的法案，以反对中国对互联网进行封锁。中国政府强烈的谴责，表示中国的互联网管理是中国的内政，其他国家无权干涉。其他国家表示不从中国进口商品是该国的内政，中国政府无权干涉。

2019年—— 国庆70周年大阅兵，在阅兵当天，政府表示，闭关锁国，苦练内功，让一切反动势力在我们面前颤抖吧。当天，中国向全世界发出电文，电文内容共八个字：三天不打，上房揭瓦。很多国家表示难以翻译。

2020年——……

2020年—— 地球毁灭，玛雅人的后代表示，前后十年内的误差是正常的。

A New Approach to China

Like many other well-known organizations, we face cyber attacks of varying degrees on a regular basis. In mid-December, we detected a highly sophisticated and targeted attack on our corporate infrastructure originating from China that resulted in the theft of intellectual property from Google. However, it soon became clear that what at first appeared to be solely a security incident–albeit a significant one–was something quite different.

First, this attack was not just on Google. As part of our investigation we have discovered that at least twenty other large companies from a wide range of businesses–including the Internet, finance, technology, media and chemical sectors–have been similarly targeted. We are currently in the process of notifying those companies, and we are also working with the relevant U.S. authorities.

Second, we have evidence to suggest that a primary goal of the attackers was accessing the Gmail accounts of Chinese human rights activists. Based on our investigation to date we believe their attack did not achieve that objective. Only two Gmail accounts appear to have been accessed, and that activity was limited to account information (such as the date the account was created) and subject line, rather than the content of emails themselves.

Third, as part of this investigation but independent of the attack on Google, we have discovered that the accounts of dozens of U.S.-, China- and Europe-based Gmail users who are advocates of human rights in China appear to have been routinely accessed by third parties. These accounts have not been accessed through any security breach at Google, but most likely via phishing scams or malware placed on the users' computers.

We have already used information gained from this attack to make infrastructure and architectural improvements that enhance security for Google and for our users. In terms of individual users, we would advise people to deploy reputable anti-virus and anti-spyware programs on their computers, to install patches for their operating systems and to update their web browsers. Always be cautious when clicking on links appearing in instant messages and emails, or when asked to share personal information like passwords online. We have taken the unusual step of sharing information about these attacks with a broad audience not just because of the security and human rights implications of what we have unearthed, but also because this information goes to the heart of a much bigger global debate about freedom of speech. In the last two decades, China's economic reform programs and its citizens' entrepreneurial flair have lifted hundreds of millions of Chinese people out of poverty. Indeed, this great nation is at the heart of much economic progress and development in the world today.

We launched Google.cn in January 2006 in the belief that the benefits of increased access to information for people in China and a more open Internet outweighed our discomfort in agreeing to censor some results. At the time we made clear that "we will carefully monitor conditions in China, including new laws and other restrictions on our services. If we determine that we are unable to achieve the objectives outlined we will not hesitate to reconsider our approach to China."

These attacks and the surveillance they have uncovered–combined with the attempts over the past year to further limit free speech on the web–have led us to conclude that we should review the feasibility of our business operations in China. We have decided we are no longer willing to continue censoring our results on Google.cn, and so over the next few weeks we will be discussing with the Chinese government the basis on which we could operate an unfiltered search engine within the law, if at all. We recognize that this may well mean having to shut down Google.cn, and potentially our offices in China.

The decision to review our business operations in China has been incredibly hard, and we know that it will have potentially far-reaching consequences. We want to make clear that this move was driven by our executives in the United States, without the knowledge or involvement of our employees in China who have worked incredibly hard to make Google.cn the success it is today. We are committed to working responsibly to resolve the very difficult issues raised.

Your Excellency,

On December 23, the Beijing Municipal No. 1 Intermediate People's Court – after holding him for over a year without trial – sentenced respected intellectual and human rights activist Liu Xiaobo to 11 years in prison for "inciting subversion of state power."

Mr. President, we would like you to know that we do not consider this trial an independent judicial process in which neither you nor your government can interfere. In fact, it is just the opposite. Mr. Liu's trial was the result of a political order for which you carry ultimate political responsibility. We are convinced that this trial and harsh sentence meted out to a respected, well-known, and prominent citizen of your country merely for thinking and speaking critically about various political and social issues was chiefly meant as a stern warning to others not to follow his path.

Thirty-three years ago, on January 6th, 1977, we, playwright Vaclav Havel, actor Pavel Landovsky, and writer Ludvik Vaculik, were arrested by the police in our own country, then a one-party Communist state, for "committing" exactly the same "crime": the drafting of Charter 77 and collection of signatures with the intent to call on our own government to respect our country's constitution, its international obligations, and basic civic and human rights. Later, some of us were also sentenced to long prison terms in politically ordained judicial proceedings, just as the court in Beijing shamefully sentenced Mr. Liu Xiaobo in December 2009.

We strongly believe, and we dare to remind you and your Government, that there is nothing subversive to state security when intellectuals, artists, writers and academics exercise their core vocation: to think, re-think, ask questions, criticize, act creatively, and try to initiate open dialogue. On the contrary, the present and future well-being of a society is undermined when governments suppress intellectual debate.

There is nothing subversive to state security or damaging to future prosperity when citizens act guided by their own will and according to their best knowledge and conscience, when they associate among themselves to discuss and express peacefully their concerns and visions about the future development of their society.

On the contrary, a country's material and spiritual future is undermined when its citizens are not allowed to act, associate, think and speak freely.

This is why we call upon you and your Government to secure a fair and genuinely open trial for Liu Xiaobo when the court hears his appeal.

We are also asking you and your Government to end the house arrests and police surveillance which have been imposed on other Charter 08 signatories. We call upon you and your Government to end the criminalization of free speech and to release all prisoners of conscience.

Mr. President, we would like you to know that we will continue to watch carefully the treatment of Mr. Liu Xiaobo and other signatories of Charter 08. We will, together with many of our colleagues from the Czech Republic and Slovakia who signed the original Charter 77, make continued and sustained efforts to draw international attention to their plight.

很显然，网民是处于下风中的下风。而声势最浩大的，自然非广电总局莫属。

文化部和出版总署为了网游而打内战，广电总局和工信部为了域名控制和手机网络也在打内战。挺混乱。

第二天（8号）早上起来，按按脚趾头，还是痛——但是不按的话就没感觉。很好，恢复中。跟同学出去玩，走了很远的路，双足疲惫，那种疲劳的酸痛感把脚趾头的疼痛盖过去了。

第三天（9号）起床，左足似乎比右足酸痛感强烈一些。在往常这种程度的酸痛是疲惫的正常表现，于是我还是照原计划到百盛楼去买书了。回来的路上左脚的疼痛越来越强烈，就像崴到了一样。该不会又像今年年头一样在睡觉时崴到脚？（是很难以置信，但是它的的确确发生了）地铁上没有座位，我快站不住了，于是在友诺士下车，换乘公车。从地铁站到公车站那几步路的距离我居然是一瘸一拐走过去的。

就算崴到脚也只不过休息两天就好了吧。昨天（10号）早上起来，疼痛稍缓。午晚两餐都叫的外卖，没敢出门。到了晚上却恶化了，脚掌隆起，拖鞋紧得跟什么似的。睡觉前擦药，为了增强药效，擦完了药我还穿上了袜子去睡觉。本来只要把脚平放就没事的，擦了药之后痛感反倒明晰起来。翻来覆去到四点还睡不着。

今天早上起床时痛感又恢复到昨天早上的程度，但脚掌还是很肿。到了晚上实在坐不住了，一瘸一拐地下楼去买了几帖膏药上来。现在正贴着呢，也不知疗效如何。（写到这里，低头一看，发现脚上穿的是外出的拖鞋……刚才进门时光想着贴膏药，忘了换拖鞋了……）

左脚的那根脚趾现在还疼着，但是都被脚掌抢过风头了。话说我到现在还是没明白脚掌为什么会痛。唯一合理的解释就是年头悲剧重演，睡觉时崴到脚……

The colour scheme is black background with white and light grey text. This reminds me of the personal website I created seven or eight years ago, when I was still a 'wen qing' (文青, young people who loves writing). At that time I was deeply obsessed with such a colour scheme because I found it 'profound'. Well I chose this scheme again today not because it was 'profound' but rather because it was comfortable to me at this moment.

The previous theme is white background with black and dark grey text. Maybe one day I shall name my blog a zebra. White stripes on black skin, or black stripes on white skin, either way it is a zebra.

UPDATE 2009-12-15: After 4 days I realized white background with black text is still more comfortable than the opposite… So I convert the colours…

最让我赞叹的是，当我输入senjyougahara（戦場ヶ原）时，居然有一个戦場ヶ原ひたぎ的选项……

除此之外，还能自动变换日期格式，比如输入“きょう”时，会出现当天的不同格式的日期。输入“きのう”和“あした”亦然。

当输入数字时也可以很方便地选择不同格式（公元与和历、半角与全角、阿拉伯数字和大写汉字等）。

比起微软自带的输入法，Google这个输入法的速度也快得多。学习日语的朋友不妨一试。
